Christian McCaffrey's dad Ed may have two sons who play on different teams in the National Football League but that won't stop him from still showing his support for the franchise he spent nine seasons with: the Denver Broncos.
On Sunday, before the early slate of NFL games kicked off, Ed McCaffrey shared a message on X for the Broncos and their fan base. He showed his support for their matchup against the Indianapolis Colts and how their playoff odds would increase with a win.
"Let's make some noise today #BroncosCountry! We win today and we are all but in the playoffs for the first time since 2015. Been too long, let's gooooo! @Broncos," McCaffrey tweeted.

The Denver Broncos haven't made the playoffs since 2015 when Peyton Manning led them to a win in the Super Bowl. This season, the 8-5 Broncos have the seventh and final AFC wild card spot heading into Week 15.
Denver has a 74% chance of making the playoffs and a win will increase the odds to 89%, according to NFL.com. However, a loss to the Colts will drop it to 46%.
Christian McCaffrey's dad, Ed, shared his heartbreak for son's injury
Ed McCaffrey played 13 seasons in the NFL. While he has dealt with injuries, nothing prepared him when his son, Christian McCaffrey, was injured.
Christian missed more than half of the 2024 season as he dealt with Achilles tendinitis. In just his fourth game since his return to the San Francisco 49ers lineup, the running back suffered a season-ending knee injury on the road in a snowy game against the Buffalo Bills on Dec. 1.
Ed was a guest on the "Up and Adams Show" the following day and told host Kay Adams that he was devastated by what happened to his son.
"Today is a tough one," Ed said. "I feel like someone reached their hand in my chest and pulled out my heart. Christian got hurt yesterday and it was devastating. ... When tragedy strikes, you never really get over it. You never forget about it, but you do get through it. And that's what Christian will do, and that's what Lisa and I will do."
Ed added that he knows that Christian will fight his way through the injury and return next season.
