Christian McCaffrey’s wife Olivia Culpo expresses gratitude as ‘heroic’ firefighters battle LA County wildfire

LA wildfires have continued to cause destruction for days, leaving people displaced and without homes. There have been multiple rescue attempts, and organizations coming together to pool money and help those affected.

The NFL community has come together to speak of the fires, many urging fans to donate while appreciating the valiant effort made by firefighters. Olivia Culpo, married to San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey, shared her heartfelt message on Instagram.

"My heart is aching for our community. I am so terribly sorry for the loss so many are experiencing," Culpo wrote in her caption. "Look at these men just in the flames breathing the air. For DAYS at a time. Just so heroic. I feel so grateful for our heroes and so heartbroken all at the same time."

She even reacted to a clip of deer seeking shelter from the fire. The video went viral on social media. Culpo, sharing the video, added:

"So much suffering everywhere you look (crying face emoji). God please make this stop (praying emoji)."

Like Olivia Culpo, other NFL stars and their partners have reached out and spoken about the fires. While all are heartbroken over the tragedy, many even shared links to charities and organizations that could send help.

Anna, who is married to LA Rams star Cooper Kupp, was unable to believe the "unfathomable" destruction unfolding. She assured worried well-wishers of their safety, terrified for friends who have lost their homes and livelihood.

Bucs QB Baker Mayfield's wife Emily was also left devasted.

"Sending prayers to my friends, family & everyone in the LA area, being affected by these heartbreaking wildfires! Im praying for the residents, animals, first responders and everyone else being affected," Emily wrote.

Russell Wilson's wife Ciara, Jared Goff's wife Christen, Braxton Berrios' girlfriend Alix Earle and George Kittle's wife Claire were among the many others who have continued to share awareness and help out through social media.

As per CNN, the fires have claimed 10 lives as residents continue to flee ruined neighborhoods.
