New Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson is finding out that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Since moving to Mile High from Seattle, Wilson has, well shall we say, played really badly.
He has struggled not only on the field, but off it too. The quarterback's latest commercial for Subway, in which he talks about his new sandwich, the "Dangerwich," has caused fans to tear into him.
In the commercial, Wilson goes through all the different ways to eat his signature sandwich. It is odd, to say the least, and NFL fans have picked up on that. One fan said that Ciara (his wife) needs to cheat on him again, possibly to get his head back on straight.
"Ciara needs to cheat on him again."

Other fans also commented on the commercial, with many thinking on the same lines:
It seems pretty clear that most fans are in agreement. The Subway ad isn't Wilson's finest moment.
Russell Wilson's Denver Broncos struggling early in 2022
When the former Seahawks quarterback swapped teams and landed in Denver, many thought, "Super Bowl, here we come." Fast forward just six weeks and making the playoffs is now looking tough.
Sitting at 2-4 for the year and two games behind the Kansas City Chiefs and LA Chargers, who lead the AFC West, Denver is already in trouble. Many thought that adding a player of Wilson's caliber was going to put Denver "over the edge".
The defense is one of the best units in the NFL and on offense, they have serious weapons, or so we thought. The Broncos have only scored more than 20 points once through six games. They still lost.
In the other five games, totals of 16, 16, 11, 9 and 16 all point to an offense that can't seem to score, despite having talent everywhere.
The main reason that the quarterback's commercials have gotten so much heat is because of his play on the field. Through six games, 1,442 passing yards, just five touchdowns and four interceptions is not a recipe for success.
The saving grace is that there is still time to turn the season around. But it will have to be done quickly. However, with the 33-year-old dealing with a hamstring issue, there are serious doubts over whether Denver can turn things around.
