Earlier this week, guest host and DJ Stephen "tWitch" Boss passed away at the age of 40. Reports revealed that he committed suicide, which was later confirmed by his wife. Fans have been pouring in with tributes online, while celebrities who worked with Boss remain devasted over the sudden development.

Ciara, who has previously met and worked with tWitch, shared her condolences on social media.

While the singer chose a happy TikTok video from The Ellen DeGeneres Show to post on her feed, her words were heartfelt and touching. Just like everyone else, Ciara seemed distraught by the sudden loss and prayed for Boss' family to receive strength during this tough time.

In the video shared by Ciara, she is dancing with Boss, enjoying a moment between a shoot. The clip appears to be from a 2021 appearance on The Ellen Show, where tWitch was also present.

"I am so crushed to hear the news that you are no longer with us. I’ve always known you as joy, laughter, good times, and a big smile! Heaven has gained an angel today!" Ciara wrote.

She added:

"May you rest in paradise. Praying for your family during this difficult time".

Did Ciara know Stephen 'tWitch' Boss personally?

While they might not have kept in touch regularly, Ciara and Boss seem to have met multiple times, mostly during the singer's appearances on the talk show. She has danced with him on the show, making sure to entertain their fans thoroughly.

The singer, currently married to Denver Broncos star Russell Wilson, has been a part of Ellen's show multiple times. With tWitch being a common feature on the show, the two often ended up shooting a segment together.

One of their most popular segments is from three years ago, where the two stars are competing in a dance off.

Both tWitch and Ciara give their best while making an occasional joke here and there.

A dedicated performer, tWitch was loved by everyone who knew him. His wife, Allison Holker Boss, made a statement confirming his death, adding that the man lit up every room he walked in. Many wondered about the discrepancies in life and how someone who looked so joyous could have ended his own life.

"He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

The couple had three children together.

Boss' career began in 2008 when he was the runner-up on So You Think You Can Dance. He was seen in movies like Step Up before landing a more or less regular role in Ellen's show.
