MetLife Stadium erupted in a chorus of boos as the New York Giants limped to the locker room. A 23-0 halftime deficit against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sparked raw outrage from the home crowd.

The New York Giants' offensive struggles reached staggering depths with just 10 net passing yards. This performance came against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers squad desperate to snap their four-game losing skid.

Tampa Bay dominated from the opening drive. Sean Tucker punched in a one-yard touchdown after Baker Mayfield carved up the defense, completing 7 of 8 passes for 52 yards.

The New York collapse accelerated after a failed fourth-and-1 attempt at their 37-yard line. YaYa Diaby stuffed Saquon Barkley, setting up Chase McLaughlin's 23-yard field goal for a 10-0 Bucs lead.

Adding insult to injury, Baker Mayfield mocked Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito with a poorly executed Italian hand gesture celebration. His arm-flailing attempt lacked the subtle forearm and wrist movement characteristic of the authentic gesture.

Social media exploded with fan fury.

"Cleaning house will be an easy decision," one fan said.

Another fan's frustration boiled over;

"What in the actual fuck is wrong with the Giants????" another fan wrote.

The reactions grew increasingly hostile.

"Can't wait for the day I can stop opening my phone to absolutely pathetic tweets like this about the Giants. Fire everybody," one fan commented.
"Boo the coach," another fan said.
"Absolute sh**show," a fan wrote.

While a sarcastic fan chimed in.

"congratulations drew lock!" a fan said.

Tommy DeVito's first 2024 start turned disastrous. Calijah Kancey delivered the game's defining moment, crushing DeVito with a savage, legal hit that sent him flying.

The numbers paint a grim picture. Mayfield sliced through the defense, completing 19 of 23 passes for 230 yards. Meanwhile, DeVito managed just three completions on five attempts for 31 yards.

Bucky Irving and Mayfield added rushing TDs before halftime. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers racked up 290 total yards while holding the New York Giants to an embarrassing 45, as Baker Mayfield's celebration punctuated the Giants' humiliation at home.
