The Green Bay Packers have lost twice as many games as they've won in 2022. Like many competitive players across sports, quarterback Aaron Rodgers is frustrated.
One NFL analyst has claimed that the quarterback has lost his passion for the game. Speaking on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, NFL analyst Colin Cowherd claimed the quarterback has lost the hunger to win.
He said:
"The NFL humbles you very quickly if you are not all-in all the time: offseason, during the season, sideline, and Aaron hasn't always been all-in, especially in a season with kid wide receivers... It's usually a physical [decline for quarterbacks]. But Aaron’s often looked checked out during games."

Cowherd then brought up the topic of Rodgers' potential retirement, saying the quarterback's unwillingness to fully commit to the season has cost the Packers:
"He keeps mentioning retirement over and over, which is why Davante Adams left. He won't commit [in the] offseason or in-season to developing, putting your arms around and mentoring young receivers. I talk to old legendary quarterbacks all the time... They can still play, but they don't want to go all-in physically."
Lastly, he explained that the age difference between quarterbacks and their young teammates is as big of a culprit as anything:
"They find that they're close to 40 [years old], teammates are 20. They don't have a lot in common. So they call it a wrap."
Aaron Rodgers' nightmare performance in Packers' loss to Lions
The Green Bay Packers have shown up flat against the Detroit Lions in the past, but Sunday's loss felt different to most NFL fans. While previous tough losses to the team have been a small ding in a great season, this one felt too much like the final nail in the coffin.
While the quarterback is usually the driver of the Packers' offense, he was the weak link in Sunday's game. In the contest, he completed 23 of 43 passes for 291 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. The 38-year-old quarterback did, however, lead the team in rushing, earning 40 yards on four carries.
Rodgers will hope to bounce back next week against the Dallas Cowboys.
