Odell Beckham Jr's last appearance in the NFL was in a Super Bowl. Most would assume that teams would be lining up to get any free agent piece of a Super Bowl-winning team.
However, this has simply not been the case for the wide receiver in 2023. Speaking on the Herd with Colin Cowherd, show host Colin Cowherd revealed why:
Will the former Giants wide receiver find a team before the 2023 NFL Draft?

"In OBJ’s case, he's older, he's increasingly brittle. There's a little bit of drama. He believes his values are greater than it is. The NFL gives 30 receivers a year [to teams]. Four or five become instant stars. Another dozen become highly productive by year two or three. It's not a difficult choice. It is not a friend of you as a professional football player."
In other words, teams can take a more than 50 per cent chance of getting a usable player for cheaper that could last longer or they can get an expensive, depreciating asset like OBJ.
Former Rams WR Odell Beckham Jr's campaign continues

Until the receiver finds a new home, he will be stuck on the treadmill of putting himself out there. It would be ideal for the receiver to be able to find a home before OTAs begin. However, if he doesn't find a team by June, many would then believe he could be stuck waiting for an opportunity into training camp or even the 2023 season.
Assuming he does get a job for the 2023 season, it will have been roughly 18 months between his successive apperances.
After such a long absence and coming off an ACL tear, many have questioned if rust has set in on top of his potential age-driven regression. Deshaun Watson missed the 2021 season and didn't show up as the savior the Browns needed at the time.
Would Odell Beckham need a similar length of time to get the motor going again?
