Colin Kaepernick's wife Nessa goes on a rant as ex-NFL QB ranks 10th on 'Most Influential Sports Figures since 2000' list

Colin Kaepernick hasn't been on the NFL field for eight years. The former San Francisco 49ers star hasn't given up on hope for a comeback, continuing to practice and train over the years. The former QB took the knee during the national anthem, starting a protest against police brutality in 2016. He hasn't signed with a team since then.

Along with loyal fans, Kaepernick's wife Nessa has been constantly speaking up to support her husband. Nessa continues to speak on his cause while cheering on his side businesses and other ventures.

Nessa shared a list by Bleacher Report on Wednesday, where they listed Kaepernick as the 10th Most Influential Sports Figure since 2000.

"[Colin Kaepernick] BEEEEN took that team to the Super Bowl. Took that team to 2 NFC Championship Games Back to Back. Still holds some of the best records until this very day. And then, he did something so selfless that cost him his hard-earned career. And people stood on the sidelines and watched him get buried but he still kept going," Nessa wrote.

"He's Number 1 in my book!" Nessa added in her caption.

While Kaepernick has continued to work on his game, there's no confirmation of him playing in the NFL again.
