Colts owner Jim Irsay has responded to the accusations made by the former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Irsay’s tongue-in-cheek response not only takes a jab at Belichick and the Patriots but also expresses admiration of the Colts fanbase.
During Monday night's football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New Orleans Saints, Belichick appeared on an ESPN’s broadcast alongside Peyton Manning and his brother Eli. During the segment, the 72-year-old hinted at the Colts using "fake noise" systems during their matchups against the New England Patriots.
While Peyton Manning chose to let it go, Jim Irsay, who has owned the Colts since 1997, did not. The 62-year-old billionaire took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice his comeback against Belichick.
“Reminder..."piped-in crowd noise" myth ---1000% fictional. And the "skip" was TV broadcast. We get it, though…visiting teams couldn’t believe that 60,000 in an intimate domed stadium could make that much deafening noise! (em) A credit to Colts fans.”

The Colts and Patriots rivalry has been going on for several decades. This rivalry was the most heated during the years of Manning, Belichick, and Tom Brady. The six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach has not yet responded to Irsay. However, Bill Belichick had reignited the rivalry for the fans once again with his words.
What did Bill Belichick say about the Colts?
During the October 7 broadcast, the panel, including Peyton Manning, Bill Belichick and Eli Manning discussed the level of fan support at Arrowhead Stadium. The deafening noise by the fans in support of the Chiefs reminded Belichick of the Lucas Oil Stadium and the noise it used to produce.
“Well Peyton, let me tell you,” Belichick said. “The crowd noise at Arrowhead wasn't as bad as when you guys piped in music at the RCA Dome... Then when the crowd noise skipped, that's how we knew you were pumping it in.”
Bill Belichick and Peyton Manning will come face-to-face next Monday for their broadcast of Manningcast on ESPN. The fans and the Colts owner will be tuned in to find out Belichick’s response to this and if he provides any other evidence to back his claim.
