Comedian Ron Funches praises Travis Kelce's nature while crowning TE as 'golden retriever' of football

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has often been praised by his celebrity friends. Most recently, comedian Ron Funches recalled a wholesome conversation with Kelce and crowned Kelce as the "golden retriever."

On Sunday, Funches shared an Instagram post featuring a clip from his standup gig at Kansas City in December. In the video, Funches can be seen recalling an interaction he had with Kelce when the tight end invited him to attend a Chiefs game. Sharing a glimpse into his interaction, Funches said:

"I started doing this game show … and it’s hosted by Travis Kelce. We started to become friendly, you know? And then he knew I was coming out to do shows for Thanksgiving week and he hit me up on Instagram and he was just like, ‘Hey man, are you coming to my city, let me know if you need anything.’"

"He’s a f—ing good guy. He’s a good dude and not only did he get us tickets [but] an hour and a half before the game, I get another little ding on my phone. He was just like, ‘Hey man, I’m getting ready to go into game mode, I’m gonna turn my phone off but before I do, I just want to make sure you got in OK,’" Funches added.

Moving forward in the video, Ron Funches labeled Travis Kelce's nature as that of a "golden retriever." The comedian said:

"You Prince Charming mother f—er. He is amazing, he is a golden retriever of a human being. It’s probably why he’s so good at football. He just, like, sees the ball and, ‘I gotta go get it.’"

Ron Funches previously made headlines for revealing Travis Kelce's subtle trick to shutting down Swifties in a way that won't hurt Taylor Swift. Sharing Kelce's trick during his appearance on the "Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity" show, Funches said:

“One of my favorite things I actually saw, and I don't want to use it as a spoiler, but, occasionally, some people tried to hit on him. Him shutting that down was really sweet and really nice to see. You can tell he's in it with her.”

Talking about Taylor Swift, the Blank Space singer attended the Chiefs vs Texans at Arrowhead Stadium. Swift reportedly didn't stay in Kansas City but left for New York City to help Travis Kelce focus on the Chiefs' upcoming clash against the Bills.
