In a post on X, the Washington Commanders announced that their iconic gold pants for their uniform look will make a comeback in 2024. The team referred to the return as putting the gold pants 'back in the rotation,' indicating it wouldn't be a regular look but rather a throwback game.
"Gold pants are officially BACK in our rotation."

The return of the gold pants had the Washington Commanders' fans excited. The comments section on the post included fans sharing their joy for a uniform change.
Washington fans thanked the organization for listening to their calls for the uniform change. Some said this could be the revival of the team and the start of a new chapter with a 'fresh' look.

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III was drafted second overall by the Washington Redskins in 2012. The former Hisman Trophy winner spent four seasons with the team before moving on.
After the Commanders' announcement of adding gold pants to their uniform look for some games, RG III was excited about the change and even shared a photo of his time with the team wearing the gold pants, but that version had a stripe down the side.
He encouraged his followers to share their thoughts on the look and what else they wanted to see in the future.

Washington is headed into its second season under Josh Harris' ownership and expects a winning season ahead.
