The Dallas Cowboys, for the first time in a while, maybe in the running for a high draft pick. One of the highly-coveted prospects in the 2025 Draft Class has revealed his interest in going to them.
Heisman-contending running back Ashton Jeanty, who spent most of his formative years in the suburb of Frisco, recently revealed his desire to be a Cowboy to YouTuber Deestroying in a special interview that was held at Albertsons Stadium, the home of the Boise State Broncos:
"My family’s all in Texas. All of the connections, all of the relationships, I just feel that would be the perfect city to play in. [Jerry Jones] you know what to do."

This echoes comments that he made during a stream last month:
"Dallas Cowboys, I'm not saying they're not a good fit. I'm not saying that at all. I'm from Frisco, played in Frisco, I played in their practice stadium. I would be a hometown hero if I went there."
How will Ashton Jeanty land with Cowboys? Exploring possible Draft scenario
It is no secret that Ashton Jeanty is a rumored target for Jerry Jones, who has been desperate for a new star running back in the mold of Emmitt Smith and Ezekiel Elliott. But how can this happen?
On yesterday's episode of SPEAK, current Colorado Buffaloes head coach and current Dallas recruiting target Deion Sanders made a bold prediction on where he believed the star rusher would land:
"This young man is running the ball phenomenally, he's doing a phenomenal job and I love everything about him. I think he should be in the top five picks (of the 2025 NFL Draft.)"
Given the way the Cowboys have been playing in the 2024 season (3-6, including being routed thrice at home by the New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions, and Philadelphia Eagles), a high pick is very likely for them, but not so high that it will land in the top-five range.
Instead, as argued by Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer, the pick will most likely be No. 11, well after Shedeur Sanders, himself one thought to be a potential Cowboys target, has gone off the board with something like the Las Vegas Raiders.
Other sites like FanSided and Athlon Sports also have him landing in Arlington within the first half of their mock drafts.
