Jerry Jones has expressed interest in hiring Deion Sanders as the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Since Sanders is currently under contract with the University of Colorado, Jones will have to buy his contract out in order to hire him, which is estimated to be around $8 million.

The question of whether Jerry Jones would want to spend millions of dollars to buy out the contract and then pay Deion Sanders a salary quickly circulated on X. The suggestion of ways to make that money back was a common thought on the social media platform.

The suggestions from those on social media were to film HBO's "Hard Knocks" using the revenue to pay the buyout back. Another suggested that selling merchandise could help recuperate the costs.

Some fans were quick to note that the Dallas Cowboys are the highest-valued professional sports team, which means that buying out a contract shouldn't be an issue.

"How is it that the perennial “World’s Most Valuable Sports Franchise” is so damn cheap?," one person asked.
Do you know how much money adding Coach Prime would generate? The projection far exceeds 8 million dollars. Ask the university of Colorado, and surrounding businesses. I know Jerry laughs his ass off at folks pocket watching his money when his team is worth 11 billion," another said.
"$8M is a rounding error for Jerry," another wrote.

The mocking of Jones continued on social media as some just didn't believe that $8 million would stand in the longtime owner's way if he truly wanted to hire Deion Sanders.

"Poor Jerry Jones …. Maybe we’ll soon see a “go fund me page” #GiveMeABreak," said one fan.
"Yeah, not like his franchise is worth $10 Billion or anything........," said another.
"Jerry is a billionaire . If he wants to make it happen that’s nothing to him . I know you said he doesn’t do it , but if he wants it he has ro," another said.

Deion Sanders would 'certainly accept' Dallas Cowboys HC role

Since the Dallas Cowboys launched their head coaching search on Monday, rumors immediately started indicating Deion Sanders was an option. Whether or not Sanders would accept the role to coach the team he once played for, remained a question.

NFL reported Ed Werder reported on Thursday afternoon that sources have told him that Sanders would absolutely take the job if offered. He also added that those around Sanders are encouraging him to go for it.

"Regarding Deion Sanders: I’m being told that he would almost certainly accept if Jerry Jones offers to make him the next #Cowboys head coach, that those around him are encouraging him to pursue it and that Jones is enamored with the idea."

Besides Sanders, Robert Saleh and Kellen Moore are also expected to be candidates for the job.
