The Dallas Cowboys are America's Team, but there have been cracks during the course of the 21st century. They are one of just three teams who have not played in an NFC Championship Game since 2010, with the Cowboys not having done it since the 1995 season. Things must change if the franchise is to turn things around.

NFL reporter Ed Werder posted on X, how owner Jerry Jones "exacted revenge" for portraying his team in a bad light.

"I have covered the Jerry Cowboys from the very beginning. I have infuriated him multiple times. He has exacted revenge while promising not to do so. He has questioned the PR director in my presence about how I’m credentialed for a game. He has never had them taken and I doubt the league would allow it," Werder wrote on X.

What do the Dallas Cowboys need to do this offseason?

The Dallas Cowboys have officially hired their new coach to replace Mike McCarthy, promoting offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. However, there are still some holes remained to be filled by Jerry Jones.

The team has several free agents lined up, including defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, wide receiver Brandin Cooks, and offensive guard Zack Martin. It will be difficult for the team to attract quality free agents right now since they have the fourth-highest cap in the NFL for the 2025 season at a little under $300 million. Meanwhile, the team does hold the 12th pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

With an aging offensive line and a need to run the football, they will have to figure out how to get those positions filled up, whether in free agency or the draft.

Another big discussion will be what the Cowboys do with Micah Parsons who is on his fifth-year option and can be franchise tagged, or the organization can move from him through trade and get good returns.
