Parsons is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, which was further validated by him joining a legendary list of players to record 50 sacks in their first four seasons.

The Cowboys selected Parsons 12th in the 2021 NFL draft. He's played in 61 games in his NFL career, recording 250 tackles, 50 sacks, nine forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.

Parsons has a team option for 2025 and will become a free agent in 2026.

Micah Parsons is not looking to break the bank in his new deal

Micah Parsons will look to sign a contract extension this offseason, and he said he isn't looking to break the bank. Instead, Parsons wants to help the Cowboys win.

“It would be nice to be surrounded by good players," Parsons said, via NBC. “Players that will help me win championships, I’ll say that. To me, having $40 million and being chipped every play and slid into three, four people, that doesn’t sound too fun to me.

"So, to me, it’s about keeping people that can make a difference and obviously we’re going to get Sam [Williams] back, some players back. We’ll see how it breaks down, but I want to keep as many guys as possible. They will make the cap work, I don’t know.”

If Micah Parsons does take a bit of a discount, it will allow Dallas to build a better roster and compete for a Super Bowl.
