Michael Irvin isn't one to shy away from appearing on shows and podcasts, but he apparently turned down an invitation from Shannon Sharpe. Irvin revealed this on Thursday morning's episode of the "It Is What It Is" show.
During the episode, the Hall of Fame wide receiver and Super Bowl champion Michael Irvin shared his thoughts on Sharpe's "Night Cap" podcast and his recent viral moment on Instagram.
Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe went viral yesterday after a mishap on Instagram Live. The ESPN analyst and podcast host claimed that his social media account was hacked, which led to an intimate moment being broadcast.
“It is all interesting. If you did do it on purpose, I hear people on social media saying, he can only go a minute and 16. Then he started posting some of the old stuff. Wham, bam, thank you ma’am. The man has just proven to be what he said," Irvin said.

Shannon Sharpe says he's embarrassed by the IG mishap
After Shannon Sharpe accidentally went live on Instagram during an intimate moment, he initially said his account was hacked. On Wednesday night, he addressed the topic on his "Nightcap" podcast and admitted that it was a terrible accident. He also went on to say that he was truly embarrassed about what happened.
"Obviously I'm embarrassed. [I'm] someone who is extremely, extremely private. I'm embarrassed for a number of reasons. For the audio be heard, I'm disappointed in myself. I let a lot of people down," Sharpe said.
The three-time Super Bowl winner admitted that he doesn't know much about Instagram or the 'live' feature and that he has never used it in the past. He said that it must have turned on when he put his phone down.
Shannon Sharpe said he prefers to keep his private life off of social media, which makes this incident even worse for him.
