The Kansas City Chiefs finished the regular season tied for the best record in the NFL with the Detroit Lions, as both teams finished the year 15-2. They are No. 1 seeds in their conferences and are two of the best clubs in the league heading into the playoffs.
Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin gave his take on which team he thinks is the scariest heading into the postseason, and it isn't the reigning Super Bowl champions.
Irvin spoke on Fox Sports' "Speak For Yourself" earlier this week, and the panel discussed which team they think is the scariest heading into the postseason. For Irvin, it's the Lions because of their ability to win football games in many different ways, even games where certain key players don't play their best or aren't available.
"For me it's Detroit," Irvin said. "When we say scary I think about how many different ways can you beat me, and they can beat you with so many different ways and no matter what you take away, they find a way they beat you.

"This guy [Jared Goff] had five interceptions, they still won the game. He throws five TD's they win the game. He has on OK game yesterday, third-worst passer rating at 80, they still win the game."
"You guys talked about it too. That defense, we talked about how many people about they've lost on their defense. They still find people and make plays."
Detroit Lions dominate Minnesota Vikings Sunday night, earn No. 1 seed in NFC playoffs and NFC North title
The Detroit Lions were going to enter the playoffs as either the No. 1 seed or the No. 5 seed. Hosting their division rival Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night, the Lions cruised past their division foe, earning a 31-9 dominant victory.
After Detroit led 10-6 at halftime, running back Jahmyr Gibbs exploded for three second-half touchdowns, putting the game out of reach with each score.
As a result of their win, the Lions clinched the No. 1 seed in the NFC, as they improved to 15-2 on the season. The Vikings dropped to 14-3 on the season and have the No. 5 seed in the NFC.
The win was huge because Detroit gets to enjoy a first-round bye while the Vikings have to face the LA Rams on the road on Monday night.
