Dak Prescott is at a critical juncture with Jerry Jones. After seeing his favorite target CeeDee Lamb get $136 million over four years, he wants his own monstrous extension.

However, based on recent comments, the owner/general manager of the Dallas Cowboys appears to be unenthusiastic about the matter. That led his quarterback to go off when confronted by the media:

Stephen A. Smith says Jerry Jones should ditch rather than extend Dak Prescott in 2025

At least one person believes the Dak Prescott era will soon be over in Arlington - ESPN's Stephen A. Smith. Citing the quarterback's well-covered history of poor playoff performances, he said:

One popular theory Smith's colleague Mike Greenberg put forth earlier this month is that Jones should replace Prescott with Shedeur Sanders, the son of former Cowboys cornerback Deion Sanders.

However, that idea may face significant scrutiny. The Las Vegas Raiders are interested in Shedeur. They desperately need a potential franchise quarterback after the failure and after-effects of their Jimmy Garoppolo experiment.
