The Dallas Cowboys have made perhaps the biggest statement of the NFL season in a 40-3 demolition of the previously 8-1 Minnesota Vikings. Heading into the game, the Cowboys were seen as slight favorites and quickly went to work on Minnesota's home soil.
From the outset, Dallas were on another level, clearly hyped up after their epic collapse in the fourth quarter against the Green Bay Packers last Sunday. As expected, Dallas fans were rather noisey after the humbling they put on the Vikings. Some fans even said the Cowboys are going to win the Super Bowl:
Other Dallas fans were quick to chime in with their thoughts after the belting they laid on the Vikings in their own building:

It appears that many Dallas fans are happy with their team's dominant win over the Vikings. Which isn't surprising and they certainly should be.
Prescott prominent as Pollard pounds Vikings in dominant Cowboys' display
The Dak Prescott-led Cowboys made some sort of statement against the Minnesota Vikings. Coming off an embarrassing loss to Green Bay last Sunday, the feeling in the building all week was to go again. Boy did they.
From the first snap, it was clear Dallas meant business. By half-time, they held a 23-3 lead which included three Brett Maher field goals (one from 60 yards had to be kicked twice due to a review of a CeeDee Lamb catch).
Prescott had perhaps his best game of the season, completing 22 of his 25 passes for 276 yards and two touchdowns. Tony Pollard had himself a day on the ground and in the air. He totaled 80 rushing yards on 15 carries and also had 109 receiving yards on six catches along with two touchdowns.
The 40-3 win was Dallas' biggest road win in their history and it appears the team has exorcized the demons of last week.
For Minnesota, they simply were outmatched from the outset. Kirk Cousins only completed 12 of his 23 passes for 105 yards, while Dalvin Cook (11 attempts, 72 yards) was good on the ground.
But it was Dallas' day. Mike McCarthy's men owned everything. They had more first downs, went 12/17 on third down (Vikings 1/11) and had 16 more plays. They only punted twice (Vikings seven) and won the time of possession stat by almost 15 minutes.
Up next for Dallas is the New York Giants on Thanksgiving with the NFC East battle hotting up. We will see if they can push on and challenge for the Super Bowl in the coming months. After a victory like this, fans can be forgiven for a touch of hyperbole.
