The game will be played at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, the home of the Buffalo Bills. The home crowd will be electrifying either way, but Damar Hamlin’s attendance at the game could give the team an even bigger boost. While Damar Hamlin's presence in the stadium has been a major emotional boost for the Bills and their home crowd, he will be attending the game as a spectator. He's not yet ready to return to the football field, nor is it clear at this point if he ever will. He's currently undergoing extended evaluations with his doctors before making a decision about his future in the NFL.

Hamlin's problem was classified as a temporary cardiac arrest as a result of blunt force trauma to the chest. He collapsed on the field and received CPR from the medical staff to revive his life. He then spent 10 days recovering in the hospital, including being hooked up to a ventilator while medically sedated.

It was initially unclear if Hamlin would survive, but he's far exceeded expectations so far. Not only is he fully physically functioning, but he's already attending games. While Hamlin will be unable to contribute on the football field, his presence alone will help the Bills in their quest for a Super Bowl this year.
