Philadelphia Eagles star cornerback Darius Slay's wife, Jennifer, has made a delicious promise ahead of the Eagles’ divisional round game. On Sunday, Jennifer too to X to announce:
“Y’all asked, so I’ll deliver!! Banana Pudding tailgate next week. Stay tuned!!!”
This won't be the first time Jennifer has shared her homemade banana pudding at a tailgate. Previously, she has distributed them at pregame tailgates to the lucky fans. Her homemade Banana Pudding has become a favorite among the Eagles roster, so much so that it has become a locker-room staple. From defensive tackles to safeties, the players can’t get enough of her creamy, cookie-laden dessert.

Darius Slay's wife whipped up her Banana Pudding during his Detroit Lions days from 2013 to 2019. When he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in March 2020, the demand followed suit.
Now, it’s a Friday ritual in Philadelphia, with players eagerly awaiting their eight-ounce cups of the creamy treat. According to a February 2023 report by the New York Times, Jenn proposed nearly 50 cups each week for Darius Slay's teammates, though it's no easy task and requires late Thursday nights.
Interestingly, this isn’t a solo operation anymore. Darius Slay now joins in the kitchen to help crush cookies and layer the decadent dessert alongside Jennifer.
The Eagles, who are fresh off a win over the Green Bay Packers last Sunday, are getting ready to defend their home turf at Lincoln Financial Field this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET. Thus, the Philadelphia natives are thrilled to count on Jennifer’s delectable dessert to boost morale all over again.
With the wild-card games settling, the Eagles' opponent will be the winner of Monday night’s clash between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings.
Darius Slay's wife went out of her way to support the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII
Darius Slay's wife, Jennifer's Banana Pudding frenzy reached new heights on February 12, 2023, the day the Eagles were facing the Chiefs for the championship game.
Jennifer booked an Airbnb with a full kitchen near the Super Bowl venue (State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona) to ensure the Eagles have their lucky treat.
“Keep it going. I don’t know what she’s going to do for the Super Bowl, but we’ll make something happen," ex-Eagles wide receiver Quez Watkins said.
The Eagles eventually lost 38-35 to the Chiefs.
