Jennifer Slay showered Eagles cornerback Darius Slay with birthday love on X on Wednesday, sharing precious moments from their life together.

The heartfelt celebration arrives during a season where Slay has made headlines for various reasons. From on-field skirmishes to defending teammates, the veteran cornerback continues to showcase his passionate approach to the game.

Jennifer Slay posted multiple photos of the couple. Her message captured the joy of celebrating the special day for her husband, who was born on Jan. 1, 1991.

"Screaming Happy 34th birthday to this amazing man of mine! I love you, hope this year bring you sooo many more blessings!!! ... Ya'll wish him a happy birthday!!" Slay tweeted.

Beyond the field drama, Darius Slay recently defended teammate Saquon Barkley's pursuit of NFL history. The Eagles running back sits just 101 yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record of 2,105 yards.

"He was kind of low-key hating on Saquon," Slay said on his "Big Play Slay" podcast on Tuesday. "We have records for records to be broken. Your record's been standing for so long. Pass the torch. There's nothing wrong with that."

Darius Slay's support of Barkley highlighted his role as a team leader.

"I still respect this game, and I think (Dickerson) is still a great legend, but he shouldn't have said it like that," Slay said. "He sounds like a true hater."

The controversy stems from Dickerson saying he didn't want Barkley to break his 1984 record. The Eagles rested Barkley in Week 18 against the Giants, prioritizing playoff preparation.

The Eagles' No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs remains secure at 13-3. This positioning gives them flexibility in managing player workloads for the regular season finale. Darius Slay's experience and leadership will prove vital as Philadelphia chases another Super Bowl appearance.

The veteran cornerback's birthday marks not just another year but celebrates a player who balances fierce competition with support for his teammates.
