Davante Adams opened up about the possibility of him being traded to the Jets and reuniting with his former Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Appearing on the Club Shay Shay podcast, he answered Shannon Sharpe's question about the possibility saying that his former Green Bay colleague is his first choice if he ever moved. The wide receiver said,
"(Beginning 53:29) I answer like this, if I'm being reunited with anybody it will be Aaron. But, or be relocated and be anywhere it would be with Aaron. There's a lot of that stuff going on last year in the media and I'm being asked, 'What are you gonna do about this?'"
Davante Adams then said that just because he respects Aaron Rodgers does not mean he is not committed to the Raiders and did not like the media making it out as if he did not want to be in Las Vegas. Highlighting his commitment, he continued,
"And they talked about whatever without me even being involved in it. And it ended up getting all the way to the point where he got in the locker room and people was thinking that I was forced to be here."

Davante Adams 'locked in' with Raiders but Aaron Rodgers reunion possible
Davante Adams said that his priority is working with the Raiders and that he feels good about the team they have. He also talked about feeling valued by the franchise and showing their interest in having him here.
However, Davante Adams cautioned that if that dynamic ever changes, he is open to the possibility of playing with Aaron Rodgers again. Effectively, if he feels the team cannot win or feels he is being undervalued, then he will look the Jets quarterback as his first option. The wide receiver explained,
"I'm locked in with the Raiders and I really feel good about this team. And as far as I know, they feel good about me and if that ever changes they got to a point where they weren't feeling the same way you know, I ain't done playing so obviously we will figure out whatever we need to figure out but the thought of playing with Aaron is obviously amazing."
It was quite a diplomatic answer from Davante Adams regarding the whole situation. What was left unsaid is that while he may envisage playing for a long time, the same cannot be said of 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers. If they have to reunite, it will probably have to happen in short order.
