It's been quite the disappointing season for New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams. He began the season with the Las Vegas Raiders, was on his way out of Las Vegas and was expected to be traded before the 2024 NFL trade deadline.

Adams did indeed get traded, and he was traded to what looked like would be one of the best trade destinations he could have ended up in. That wasn't the case.

Adams rejoined former teammate and quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, after the Jets began the season with a 2-4 start. Since acquiring Adams, the Jets have gone 1-6.

Adams has become Rodgers' favorite target since joining the team, as he has 40 catches for 453 yards and three touchdowns in seven games with the Jets.

On the season, Adams has 58 catches for 662 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games. With the Jets having four games left this season, Adams' productivity seems like it will take a big hit before the season is done.

Davante Adams injury update: Will Jets WR play this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars?

Davante Adams missed two games earlier this season as a member of the Las Vegas Raiders with a hamstring injury. He has yet to miss a Jets game this season.

As the Jets prepare to face the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend, could there be a chance that Adams doesn't suit up? He wasn't spotted on the practice field today.

NY Jets reporter Rich Cimini Tweeted:

"#Jets practice: No sign of Davante Adams during the media portion. Breece Hall (knee) walks on the field, carrying a helmet. Heads to the rehab area. Haason Reddick (illness) is back. #Jets"

It is not clear why Adams wasn't spotted on the practice field.

Who needs a win more this Sunday, the New York Jets or the Jacksonville Jaguars?

Both the New York Jets and the Jacksonville Jaguars have had disappointing seasons this year. The Jaguars finished last season 9-8 while the Jets were 7-10 and both were viewed as playoff teams before the season started.

With four games left in the 2024-2025 season, both teams are 3-10 and have been eliminated from playoff contention. At this point, both teams are looking forward to the offseason, where they can begin their "rebuild" for next season.

The Jets have already made a dramatic change, firing general manager Joe Douglas and coach Robert Saleh. The Jaguars were expected to make in-season changes, but they have not done it. Still, coach Doug Pederson and general manager Trent Baalke's jobs seem to be in jeopardy.

It seems like for Pederson and Baalke's sake a win during Sunday's game is more important for their future, as the Jets have already been cleaning shop. Of course, whoever loses will remain in a better position to have a better draft pick in next year's draft. The Jets are currently 3.5 points road favorites.
