NFL insider Ian Rapoport said the Las Vegas Raiders are open to moving star wide receiver Davante Adams. Adams reportedly requested a trade on Tuesday ahead of Week 5.
Although Adams has requested a trade, the Raiders aren't obliged to honor it. However, according to Rapoport, the team is open to moving Adams in the right deal, which would also mean Adams would need to rework his deal for the 2025 season to make him easier to acquire for other teams.
"The Raiders are at least open to this for the right deal. It would likely be expensive. Obviously, you'll have to rework Davante Adams' contract for the 2025 season. Surely it's conceivable," Rapoport said.

"There are a couple of options here. He could end up staying with the Raiders. I know that's something several members of the organization would like, but is also a possibility that one of the best receivers we've seen over the course of the last decade heads elsewhere before the trade deadline."
Adams is in his third season in Las Vegas after he was traded to the team from the Green Bay Packers in exchange for a 2022 first- and second-round pick.
In parts of three seasons with the Raiders, Adams has played in 37 games, recording 221 receptions for 2,869 yards and 23 touchdowns.
Who will be interested in Davante Adams?
If the Las Vegas Raiders do trade star receiver Davante Adams, several teams should be interested in him.
NFL.com's Eric Edholm lists the New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders, Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys as the main options for Adams. The analyst also mentioned the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers as longshot possibilities for Adams.
Adams has two years left on his deal, but there's a potential out in his deal after this season.
If the team releases him, there would be a $15.7 million dead cap hit, according to Spotrac. This season, Adams has recorded 18 receptions for 209 yards and a touchdown.
The Raiders return to the field on Sunday on the road against the Denver Broncos in an AFC West divisional game.
