David Montgomery or Melvin Gordon: Who is a good fantasy pick?

In Week 2, Montgomery added a sparkling 122 yards against the Green Bay Packers. However, he followed that up with an underwhelming 12 yards in Week 3 against the Houston Texans. The running back was ruled out of Week 4 due to an ankle injury.

The 25-year-old Montgomery then recorded 20 yards in Week 5 against the Minnesota Vikings while getting his first touchdown of the campaign. He then racked up 67 yards in Week 6 against the Washington Commanders.

It still seems that Montgomery hasn't been at his best this season. However, he has shown flashes of brilliance from time to time.

Denver Broncos RB Melvin Gordon

Melvin Gordon, on the other hand, has also had a poor start to the season. The Broncos star has managed 193 rushing yards on 52 attempts in five games with one touchdown.

Gordon started the season with a decent 58 rushing yards in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks. He then put up another 47 yards in Week 2 against the Houston Texans. Gordon had a torrid outing in Week 3 as he added just 26 yards against the San Francisco 49ers, despite getting his first touchdown of the season.

Gordon had another disappointing run in Week 4, scoring eight yards against the Las Vegas Raiders. In Week 5, he had 54 rushing yards against the Indianapolis Colts.

Both these running backs have struggled to get going this season. But who would you pick in your fantasy team - David Montgomery or Melvin Gordon?
