DeAndre Hopkins says he is closer than ever to something he’s never achieved, which is playing in a big game deep in the playoffs. The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, who is in his 12th NFL season, will face his former team, the Houston Texans in the divisional round.

“I’ve done a lot, all the accolades that I can accomplish as far as personal, so I think just playing meaningful football in January is what’s left on the list," Hopkins said.

Since joining the Chiefs, a team coming off two straight Super Bowl wins, Hopkins has felt a new energy.

“They’re coming off a championship -- two championships -- so it feels a lot different than anywhere I’ve been,’' he said as reported via ESPN.

“Everything everybody does here, not just in this facility but outside the facility, is detailed, and that’s how you win championships," Hopkins added. "It means a lot. It takes your game to a different level. It takes your focus, your drive, knowing that you’re playing for something.’'

The Chiefs’ championship mindset has brought back Hopkins’ passion. The last time he was part of a strong playoff push was in 2021 when he was with the Arizona Cardinals. Back then, the Cardinals started 7-0 but couldn’t sustain

Now, after playing since 2013 with many accolades, the one thing DeAndre Hopkins still wants is a Super Bowl ring.

DeAndre Hopkins tops Patriots’ wishlist in Mike Vrabel’s rebuild

With Mike Vrabel now leading the New England Patriots, the team is ready for a fresh start. At the top of the list, who previously worked under Vrabel, is DeAndre Hopkins.

The Patriots have finished last in their division two years in a row. To turn things around, the team needs experienced players. Hopkins fits the bill perfectly.

Hopkins played under Vrabel in Tennessee, where he had a great season in 2023. He gained over 1,000 yards. At 33, he’s still one of the best and is known for his great hands and sharp routes. Moreover, adding Hopkins would give Patriots QB Drake Maye a reliable target.

The catch is whether DeAndre Hopkins wants to join the team. At this point, he wants to play for a team like the Kansas City Chiefs, who are dead serious about Super Bowl rings.

The Patriots have plenty of money to spend and a high draft pick. However, they’ll need to prove they’re serious about winning.
