Deshaun Watson’s QB coach calls Nick Bosa a ‘weak a** dude’ after MAGA stunt on Sunday Night Football

As Nick Bosa and Deshaun Watson know, there is a bigger competition than football taking place this fall. The United States is in an election year and while other candidates exist on the ballot, the two main candidates of the 2024 election are Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

The electorate includes 49ers star Nick Bosa, who, in a postgame interview following the 49ers-Cowboys game on Sunday Night Football, pointed to a hat he was wearing. The hat wasn't the typical red cap seen around the country for years. Instead, it was a white cap with yellow wording that appeared to read "Make America Great Again."

Trump enthusiasts pumped their fists in the air, but some took umbrage with the stunt. Taking to Twitter/X, Deshaun Watson's quarterback coach Quincy Avery refused to sit quietly as Nick Bosa's stunt went viral.

"Also just want to be clear Nick Bosa is a weak a** dude. You can do what you want but you wanted to make a statement do it with a microphone in front of you," he said.

Nick Bosa was asked about the hat in the post-game press conference but had nothing to say.

“I’m not gonna talk too much about it, but I think it’s an important time,” he said in a clip posted by Benny Johnson on Twitter/X.

According to FOX11, Brett Favre is expected to speak at a Trump rally on October 30th, indicating a clear interest in the campaign.

Fox News reports that Le'Veon Bell took part in a Trump rally near the end of October as well, indicating an interest in the candidate. MSNBC reports that his former teammate Antonio Brown also endorses Donald Trump.

Raheem Mostert's wife, Devon Mostert, also endorses the Republican nominee, per FOX News.

"As a mama, I am voting to protect my kids in the future, so I'm okay with the backlash," she said.

Donald Trump also has made his feelings on one voter in particular clear. In an interview on Fox News in September, Trump expressed that he liked Brittany Mahomes better than Taylor Swift. Brittany has been spotted liking certain pro-Trump posts on Instagram, per USA Today.

“I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better, if you want to know the truth. She’s a big Trump fan. I like Brittany. I think Brittany is great,” he said.

Will these pro-Trump voters have reason to celebrate on November 5th?
