Dez Bryant has started a firestorm on X with a controversial opinion about reproductive rights. Since Donald Trump is making a comeback in the White House, some expect the anti-abortion stance of conservatives to prevail even more now.
A female user on X, going by the name “Solita,” vented her frustration against men over their perceived disregard for women’s autonomy. She urged all the females to “close off” from men – something which caught the attention of former NFL star Dez Bryant.
Reposting Solita's tweet, Bryant wrote:

"If some of you women protected your womb from the jump, you wouldn’t need to say stupid sh*t like this. Where is the accountability?"
NFL fans were quick to react:
"You beat up your mom who was abused by her own father. STFU with your trash a**," one critic wrote.
"Lovely. Now tell me all about it why men aren’t responsible for their bodies?," another wrote.
"If some of you men understoood no means no, kept their hands to themselves, didn’t rape, and understood they don’t own or aren’t owed another persons body, women wouldn’t have to “protect” their womb. You washed freak," one user wrote.
One fan brought up a 2012 incident where Bryant was arrested for assaulting his mother, as reported by ESPN. In the second part of the reaction, they brought up his mother, Angela, who was impregnated by her mother's boyfriend, MacArthur Hatton, when she was under the age of consent. Hatton was also the father of her two siblings, according to a 2015 Rolling Stone article.
Meanwhile, another fan hit back with a sarcastic comment, writing:
"If you could catch a ball when your team needed you, you might still be in the NFL. Where is the accountability?"
"Your mother should have protected her womb," wrote a third fan.
Dez Bryant allegedly hit his mother across the face with his baseball cap
While playing for the Dallas Cowboys in 2012, Dez Bryant's physical altercation with his mother, Angela, led to his arrest over a class A misdemeanor charge.
Reportedly, the situation turned ugly when Angela asked her son to leave, which led Bryant to grab her by her T-shirt and hair and then strike her with a baseball cap.
Following this, Angela Bryant dialed 911 from a nearby friend’s home and told dispatchers about her frustration of being a victim of domestic violence for years.
“I can't keep letting him do me like this. I'm tired. I'm going to put an end to it today," an emotionally drained Angela said, as per ESPN.
Later, Angela further revealed that her hands, wrists and arms were sore from the scuffle with her son. Moreover, there was pain in her chest since Dez Bryant pushed her.
