"I want to be the first to say salute to Aaron Rodgers for a phenomenal career. You're one of the greatest. Personally, you're my favorite quarterback ever. Favorite".
He added:
"You won a Super Bowl. Hell, I didn't even make it to the playoffs. You should be proud bro. You won back-to-back MVPs. I think you won three MVPs. It's okay to walk away bro. There's nothing else left to prove. Go travel the world".
Naturally, the video and Rodgers' appearance on the Aubrey Marcus podcast had people erupt on social media.
Though many fans want Rodgers to take the call, many didn't want to see him go. Furthermore, one user pointed out that if Rodgers retires in the same year as Tom Brady, he won't get a Hall of Fame induction right away.
Aaron Rodgers is going to make his decision 'soon'
Following his much talked about darkness retreat, Rodgers first appeared on the podcast. Rodgers addressed his retirement, speaking about the importance of making a decision right away.
“I feel really good about the conversations that are going to be had, that have been had with important people in my life," Rodgers said. "Yourself included. But I’m not looking for somebody to tell me what the answer is. All the answers are right inside me. I touched many of the feeling on both sides in the darkness. I’m thankful for that time.

"It’s important to me. I’lI make a decision soon enough and we’ll go down that road. I’ll be really excited about it.”
Rodgers mentioned that he won't take the decision lightly, and is only answering questions because he it is asked frequently.
