While the Miami Dolphins have already dealt some tough injuries this season, things were not easy for them when they found out the severity of linebacker Jaelan Phillips' injury.

After Phillips left Monday night's game against the Tennessee Titans with a knee injury, it was later confirmed that the linebacker tore his ACL and is out for the remainder of the season.

After suffering the season-ending injury, Jaelan Phillips took to social media, remaining posititve through the adversity.

Phillips wrote:

"During the game on Monday, I suffered a season ending knee injury that will require constructive surgery. I believe that our lives are defined by how we handle adversity. In these moments of uncertainty, defeat, and sorry, it is natural to question your purpose and wonder what is the meaning of this pain."
"I know that my purpose is to inspire people to never give up, no matter how many times you get knocked down. I am a living testimony of the power of resilience and faith, and I feel strength in knowing that my God is greater than any obstacle. Through him I will persevere. There is nothing in life that you can't overcome as long as you don't quit."

Phillips continued:

"The mission is still the mission. I have unfinshed business to take care of and I will come out of this trial victorious. Thank you all for your continued support and love. FINS UP."

Chop Robinson will have to step up with Jaelan Phillips out for the rest of the season

With Jaelan Phillips sidelined for the remainder of the 2024 season, Chop Robinson will step up. Robinson was one of the first defensive players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, as the Miami Dolphins selected him with the 21st overall pick.

With Phillips gone for the rest of the season, the rookie knows more is expected out of him. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Robinson said everything he is going to do for the rest of the season will be for Phillips.

Robinson said in the Dolphins' locker room on Wednesday:

"I'm just doing it for '15' at this point. I know how much he sacrificed everything to pour everything into me. Honestly, just to get back and show him that, give my effort, give everything I've got, and just make plays for him."

In four games, Robinson has just two tackles on the season. He will have an increased workload, and will get a chance to prove why the Dolphins selected him in the first round of the draft.

The Dolphins are 1-3 and are now without Jaelan Phillips for the remainder of the season, and they're unsure of when they will get Tua Tagovailoa back.
