Drake Maye is finally doing his first preseason camp as a pro. And someone he knows well is in attendance.
The New England Patriots rookie quarterback's girlfriend Ann Michael Hudson posted on her Instagram Stories a picture of themselves posing on the field. She sported a tennis-esque look, pairing a black dress with white sneakers with a yellow tip:
Like her boyfriend, Hudson is a proud North Carolinian. She was born and raised in Huntersville and attended William A. Hough High School in the northerly Charlotte suburb of Cornelius. She is currently taking up Business Administration at the University of North Carolina.

How Drake Maye, girlfriend Ann Michael Hudson first met
The story of Drake Maye and Ann Michael Hudson's relationship has a very interesting beginning. She met him through her brother Tad, who almost joined Maye (who would transfer to Myers Park) at William A. Hough as a high school freshman.
The two would eventually become teammates at UNC for two seasons. In a 2021 interview via The Charlotte Observer, Tad said that the future third-overall pick had been recruiting him beforehand:
"He was always telling me, ‘Just go where your heart is, and (do) what’s best for you.’ I wouldn’t say he was recruiting that hard but it was definitely cool to have some insight, because all these coaches are telling you a bunch of things and you don’t know if some of it’s true."
"Then you have Drake telling you, ‘Oh, it’s true. Everything they’re telling you is the truth.’ That’s pretty good."
After 2023, their paths diverged again. Maye joined the Draft, while Tad transferred to Coastal Carolina in Conway, on the other side of the Carolinian border.
An overview of Drake Maye's athletic brothers
It seems that almost everyone Drake Maye has been involved with in his life has an athletic background. His girlfriend has dabbled in softball, while her brother (who later became his teammate) is himself a quarterback.
His own brothers, all older than him, have also been athletes in their own right. Luke and Beau played basketball at UNC, with the former most memorably hitting a game-winner in the 2017 Elite Eight game against Kentucky (the Tar Heels would eventually win the national title):
Cole, meanwhile, was a baseball pitcher at Florida, winning a national title in 2017 - the Gators' first in the sport.
