The Cincinnati Bengals have helped Joe Burrow out by adding offensive lineman Cody Ford.
Ford was an unrestricted free agent this off-season after being traded to the Arizona Cardinals last season. Ford was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the second-round of the 2019 NFL draft.
He will likely be a backup and was signed for depth but could have a chance at starting on the offensive line this season.

The Bengals' offensive line has struggled since Burrow entered the NFL. He was sacked 32 times in 10 games as a rookie and blew out his knee as he suffered tears in his ACL and MCL.
In 2021, he was sacked more than any other quarterback as he was taken down ot the ground a league-high 51 times. This past season, he was sacked 41 times. In the 2021 playoffs, the Bengals' offensive line allowed the most sacks in a single post-season with 19.
NFL fans troll Bengals fans for signing Cody Ford
Many fans trolled the Bengals on Twitter with the signing of Ford. Many pointed out how bad he is and think that the Bengals wasted money on the signing. Some jokingly think that Burrow will be hurt this season.
Here's how fans reacted to the signing:
Cody Ford stats:
So far in his career, Ford has played 49 games in which he has started 32 games. Last season, he played 350 snaps, allowed 3 sacks, and had 2 penalties.
Although Ford is unlikely to start every game for the Bengals, he will certainly provide depth to their O-line which has struggled massively over the years.
Bengals signed tackle Orlando Brown Jr. in addition to Cody Ford
Cody Ford isn't the only lineman the Bengals have signed this off-season. Last night, the Cincinnati Bengals struck gold when they signed former Chiefs left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. He signed a four-year $64 million deal that includes a $31 million signing bonus.
This past season, Brown Jr. played 1,133 downs, allowing just four sacks, and 47 pressures. He'll help out the much-needed Bengals offensive line.
In the last off-season, the Bengals were aggressive in adding offensive lineman. They signed offensive La'el Collins to a three-year $30 million deal. They also signed offensive guard Alex Cappa to a four-year $40 million deal. In addition, they added center Ted Karras on a three-year $18 million deal.
The Bengals have made it a priority to improve their offensive line this off-season and help out Joe Burrow, and they have done so far by signing Brown Jr.
