A Philadelphia Eagles fan who taunted Eagles coach Nick Sirianni during the Eagles' 20-16 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday evening explained his side of the story. During the game at Lincoln Financial Field, Sirianni went to the sideline to talk to a fan.

Sirianni was frustrated with whatever a fan said to him, and the fan later took to social media to explain what he had said.

"I began to yell, 'If your star running back gets 5 yards on first down, you give it to him again! RUN. THE. BALL. RUN. THE. BALL,'" the fan wrote, via Eagles Nation.

The fan also wrote that Sirianni turned around, gestured for him to calm down and told him he would continue to run.

After the game, which the Eagles barely won, Sirianni went to the fan to tell him they would run. A nearby fan didn't think it was as aggressive as some fans thought.

"'I told you we would run! I told you!' Admittedly, this is paraphrasing because I had indulged quite a bit at this point. The point being that it was not an unwarranted, nor did I see it as aggressive. Rather, I saw it as him making a point to let me know that he followed through," the fan wrote.

Philadelphia ended up running the ball 36 times in the win. But Saquon Barkley did struggle as he rushed for just 47 yards on 18 carries.

Nick Sirianni issues apology for going at Eagles fan

Following the Eagles' much-needed win over the Browns, coach Nick Sirianni apologized for going at the fan.

Following the win, Sirianni took time during his media session on Monday to apologize to fans.

"I was trying to bring energy and enthusiasm yesterday, and I'm sorry and disappointed at how my energy was directed at the end of the game," he said, via ESPN. "My energy should be all-in on coaching, motivating and celebrating with our guys. And I've got to have better wisdom and discernment of when to use that energy and that wasn't the time."

Sirianni said he and the team thrive on the boos and the crowd, so he was disappointed with the way he acted on Sunday.

Philadelphia will return to the field on Sunday on the road against the New York Giants.
