A.J. Brown has only played one season for the Philadelphia Eagles, but he has already become a fan favorite. After trading for him, the Eagles offered him a huge contract extension, and the wide receiver has proven to be well worth it.
However, Eagles supporters were upset when their star receiver referred to San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado as the MLB GOAT. This came after Machado signed a massive 11-year deal for $350 million with the Padres.
Here's how Eagles fans reacted to Brown's tweet about Machado:

Philadelphia fans know their team will likely have to face Manny Machado and the San Diego Padres if they are to win the World Series in the upcoming season.
Last season, the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the San Diego Padres, but this time around, the NL West team is stacked. It will be intriguing to see which side Brown will support if the Phillies and Padres meet again in the playoffs.
Was A.J. Brown drafted by an MLB team? Eagles WR nearly pursued baseball
The San Diego Padres selected A.J. Brown in the 19th round of the 2016 MLB draft as a center fielder. Brown even pondered playing baseball and football at one point, but that ambition did not come true for the Philadelphia Eagles receiver.
The Padres wanted Brown to commit to exclusively playing baseball, but the former Titans wideout chose football. He has not, however, ruled out the possibility of playing baseball in the future.
As per Delaware online, here's what Brown said:
"I was dead serious, The Padres had reached out to me. They were about to invite me to spring training. They were just waiting on an answer from me.
"They were telling me if I'm [still] going to play football, then I can't play baseball, I can't just play around with [baseball]. So it kind of killed my chances for the moment."
Brown can probably play baseball once he's finished with football, as long as his body isn't damaged. Fans will keep an eye on him in the NFL until then, as he is one of the best receivers in the league.
This past season, Brown played a crucial role in the Eagles’ run to the Super Bowl, as he recorded 88 catches for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns.
