Kenny Pickett joined the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason in search of a new opportunity and environment where he could thrive. But after his latest performance, even that may be gone.
On Thursday, the Eagles defeated the New England Patriots 14-13 thanks to a rushing touchdown by rookie running back Kendall Milton and a subsequent two-point conversion by Ainias Smith. The win was secured with quarterback Tanner McKee under center within the last third of the fourth quarter.
Pickett meanwhile, could muster only 67 yards from his 11 completions before being pulled. Notably, he was also sacked four times. The poor outing meant some fans were already wanting for him to be replaced by McKee, who had 140 from 15 in the game.

Could Kenny Pickett be traded out of the Eagles? Assessing possible destinations for QB
The regular season is still three weeks away, and already there is a lingering feeling that Kenny Pickett may be out of Pennsylvania. If he failed to impress on the western side, then in the eastern side, where else could he go?
CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin said:
"The Eagles are always in the business of collecting/flipping quarterbacks, and third-stringer Tanner McKee has shown enough poise to warrant No. 2 consideration in back-to-back years. Pickett is local to the Philly area, but he'd almost certainly sign off on a chance to get right back into a starting gig, adding to the appeal of another move."
Perhaps the most logical destination for him in this instance is the Minnesota Vikings, who desperately need another quarterback after losing first-round rookie JJ McCarthy for the season to a knee injury earlier this week.
The Los Angeles Chargers have also been mentioned, albeit in the hopes of upgrading from Easton Stick, who struggled badly in the preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks with an interception.
And while they were not mentioned by Benjamin, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be another viable landing spot for Pickett.
Neither Kyle Trask nor John Wolford has played significant snaps since arriving via the draft and free agency, respectively, for the Bucs. It's likely only a devastating injury or statistical regression from Baker Mayfield could harm their chances of remaining competitive in the NFC South. Thus, they could use a passer who has had at least some starting experience.
