Eagles' icon Jason Kelce opens up about taking off from work to enjoy tropical vacation with wife Kylie and kids

Despite retiring from the NFL last year, Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce hasn't got much time to enjoy a full-fledged vacation with family, thanks to his new ESPN job. However, the Eagles icon has decided to finally take an off from work and sneak out for a tropical vacation.

Kelce revealed plans to visit the Turks and Caicos Islands with his wife Kylie and kids, during the latest episode of the New Heights podcast on Wednesday. The former Philadelphia Eagles center said:

"Kylie and I have been talking about going to Turks and Caicos for a long time. I heard the water is really nice down there. It seems like it’s a pretty good environment.” (28:50)

Jason Kelce's revelation came less than a week after he opened up about not getting enough time to "travel" with his daughters. Kelce said (via People on Friday):

"We don't travel as much with the girls. We go back and forth because we want them to travel and experience things. At the same time, they're so young. We've done Disney with them a few times and they definitely love that. When we're around, we try and we watch movies sometimes, which we know that they enjoy."

Jason Kelce revealed wanting kids to follow mother Kylie's 'field hockey' legacy

During the same interview with PEOPLE, Jason Kelce revealed how he wants his daughters Bennett, Elliotte and Wyatt to start playing field hockey by the end of this year, following the footsteps of their mother's athletic legacy. Kelce said:

"Getting old enough that they're into sports now. They're riding bikes and doing gymnastics. I want to get them back out on the ice this year because I like ice skating. So it'd be awesome to do some ice skating before the season passes, and want to get them into baseball this year."

"Of course, field hockey. They already have the little sticks. But yeah, field hockey and lacrosse, or two sports that I love, but they're not quite old enough for that yet. But we got the mini sticks and don't mess around with them," he added.

Before sharing plans for a tropical vacation, Jason Kelce's wife Kylie praised her brother-in-law Travis Kelce's bonding with her daughters and crowned the tight end as "king of funcles" for them.
