Jason Kelce has been enjoying his life after retirement from football. He has also spoken multiple times about setting a few goals for his post-retirement life and one of them is to lose weight. In a previous episode of his and younger brother Travis's podcast New Heights, he vowed to be 35-40 lbs. lighter than he was during his playing days.

As of this writing, he is reportedly almost halfway there, having lost 15 lbs. During the 35th Annual American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament held at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort in Nevada, the former Philadelphia Eagles center revealed his secret:

"I've been eating a lot of ice cream and starting to go the opposite route again. But I'm still down, probably [at the] low 280's right now. My whole thing is calories in, calories out. I don't overcomplicate it. I don't get too extreme with diets in general."

He continued:

"Eat something that's natural, whether it be a plant, animal-based product, things like that, not processed [food]. And don't eat too much. The weight kind of comes off naturally."

Jason Kelce discusses his golf game at Amerian Century Championship

Speaking of the American Century Championship, this will be Jason Kelce's first time participating (brother Travis has been doing the tournament since 2020) and one of his rare times at a golf course. So naturally, in that same interview, he was asked about his approach to playing.

He said that drinking a few beers would improve his play:

"There's a point of an overturn. Usually two to three over the course of the round, that's my sweet spot. Once I'm over, game starts to go downhill quickly."

The former Super Bowl champion, six-time All-Pro, and seven-time Pro Bowler, however, inststed that he was not out there to try and defeat Travis:

"Oh man, I'm not trying to beat anybody I don't think. I'm trying to really just put together a respectable round. That's my goal.
"I was talking to [WWE Superstar] The Miz yesterday and he said he finished second to last, so I guess I'll try to beat (him)... We'll see."

In a post on his X(previously Twitter) account, Kelce also said he almost went into the tournament without any appropriate pants to wear, so his wife Kylie bought him a pair of khakis and packed them into his baggage at the last minute:
