The rumors of a breakup contract between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce surfaced earlier this week. The couple, who have been dating since last season, have become the talk of the NFL world, and this subject is no different. Many are speculating on who created the documents and debating if they are true.

Two-time Super Bowl-winning defensive end Chris Long entered the conversation on X. Long appeared to not believe the rumors about the couple and was willing to bet about the rumored breakup contract.

"Can someone with a lot of money who thinks the Kelce swift document is real contact me? I’d like to bet you a few bucks they’re dating September 29. Could use a little walking around money," Long wrote on X

The rumored contract circulating suggested the couple would break up on September 28, 2024. Long joked that he was looking to make some easy cash, as he clearly doesn't believe the rumors.

Travis Kelce's PR team shut down breakup rumors

Since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce began dating in 2023, the couple has appeared happy in public. Swift attended over a dozen Kansas City Chiefs games last season, supporting the tight end all the way to another Super Bowl win.

Kelce returned the favor by supporting Swift and attending her concerts around the globe all offseason.

The rumors of a breakup contract and the assumption that the relationship was staged shocked everyone.

Travis Kelce's public relations team quickly shut down the rumors and insisted the documents, titled "Comprehensive Media Plan For Travis Kelce's Relations Following Breakup with Taylor Swift," circulating on social media are in fact false.

"These documents are entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorized by this agency," said Full Scope media, Kelce's PR team.

The public relations agency, Full Scope, told People Magazine that it contacted Reddit, the platform where the false documents surfaced. With the help of Reddit, the source of the documents, which have now been removed, could face legal implications for creating and forging legal documents.
