Chris Brockman, co-host of the Rich Eisen Show, made a bold claim about the Kansas City Chiefs. He said they have the “easiest path to winning the Super Bowl.” Brockman brought up the three other remaining opponents in the NFL playoffs.

“Come on guys. This is the easiest path the Chiefs have had to win a Super Bowl in their dynasty run," Brockman said Monday. "A team you owned (Buffalo Bills), a team you’ve already beaten (Philadelphia Eagles) and a rookie quarterback (Washington Commanders).”

The Chiefs have a 3-0 record against the Buffalo Bills since Mahomes entered the league. They defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 two seasons ago in Super Bowl LVII. The other team left, the Washington Commanders, has rookie Jayden Daniels leading them on an improbable playoff run. Patrick Mahomes has only played the Commanders once in his career, winning that game in 2021.

“This is the easiest path to a win in the Super Bowl the Chiefs have had,” Brockman added.

Co-host Rich Eisen, who is also an NFL Network employee and commentator, disagreed.

“You have to beat the teams in front of you. And you also have to make sure you’re not beating yourself. Get out of here with this nonsense,” Eisen said.

Kansas City Chiefs are one win away from making third consecutive Super Bowl appearance

The Kansas City Chiefs are one win away from their third consecutive Super Bowl appearance. Only the Buffalo Bills stand in their way. Mahomes have bested the Buffalo Bills and opposing quarterback Josh Allen in their last three playoff outings.

If they get through the Bills, the defending champions will have the opportunity to make history by becoming the first team to win three successive Super Bowls.

However, critics this season have pointed to their average performances in the regular season. Despite becoming the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a 15-2 record, they are only the 11th best when it comes to point differentials.

Opposing fans also point to questionable officiating favoring Patrick Mahomes' team all season, with last week’s NFL Playoff divisional game against the Houston Texans shining a spotlight on the issue.

It remains to be seen if Mahomes can still outduel MVP frontrunner Josh Allen in this year's AFC championship showdown.
