Micah Parsons isn't pleased with the Dallas Cowboys 1-2 start to the 2024 NFL season. He threw blame in the direction of his teammates and those comments aren't sitting well with a former Dallas Cowboys player.
Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware was on the "Up and Adams Show" Thursday morning and was asked about Parsons' comments. Ware, a mentor to Parsons earlier in his career, wasn't pleased. He questioned the 25-year-old's position as a leader when he asserted blame on his teammates.
"But when you start pointing a finger at your other teammates, that sort of makes things a little bit different," Ware said. "When it comes to ... are you the true leader that you know you need to be? To me, true leaders don't point fingers. They just show results, and then everybody follows their lead. So I think it wasn't the right thing to do."
"Your words speak louder than anything. So just for him, I know that he's listening. Let your actions speak louder than your words, and never point your fingers."

What did Micah Parsons say about his teammate's performance?
After Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Micah Parsons was visibly frustrated by his team's lack of production. After the game, the Cowboys defensive star spoke to reporters and called out his defensive teammates for not getting the job done.
"I feel like as a competitor, at some point you got to be prideful enough to say, 'I'm not going to allow this to happen to me.' I just feel like some people are just allowing them to keep getting smacked in the face. When are you going to stand up?" Parsons told reporters
Parsons has just one sack through three games this season, which came in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns. Parsons had a career-high 14 sacks in 2023 and will need to amp up his own production to help his defense, which is being coached by Mike Zimmer.
The Dallas Cowboys will now brush off Sunday's loss as they now face their NFC East rival, the New York Giants, on Thursday evening.
