Former Philadelphia Eagles president Joe Banner (1995-2012) has been out of the league as an executive/president for over a decade, but is still showing love to the Eagles.
As the Eagles prepare for their playoff showdown with the Green Bay Packers, Banner claims two of the Eagles' NFC East rivals have handed it its best off-season.
Banner thinks the Giants' decision to retain coach Brian Daboll and the Cowboys' decision to keep Mike McCarthy (assuming he gets extended) has favored the Eagles.

"The post season hasn’t even started & the Cowboys & Giants' decisions to keep their coaches has made this the best off seasons the Eagles have had in a long time. I have said for years, it’s actually much more common for an owner to keep his people too long vs too short."
Daboll has posted one winning season in the last three years as the Giants' coach and has gone 18-32-1 in three seasons. McCarthy has done a little better, going 49-35 as Dallas' coach the last five seasons while making the postseason three times.
Meanwhile, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni has a 48-20 record with four playoff appearances in his four seasons as Philly's coach.
Philadelphia Eagles will have quarterback Jalen Hurts for their playoff game against the Green Bay Packers
The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Green Bay Packers this weekend in the wildcard round of the playoffs. The Eagles-Packers clash will kick-off Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field with the Eagles coming in as 5.5-point favorites.
Eagles starting quarterback Jalen Hurts missed the last two regular-season games for the Eagles as he was in concussion protocol. Hurts suffered a concussion in Week 16 against the Washington Commanders when he was tackled on a first-down run.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love suffered an elbow in injury in the team's regular-season finale loss to the Chicago Bears and was ruled out for the rest of the game. He, like Hurts, is expected to play Sunday in the playoff game.
The Eagles and the Packers met one another in Week 1 as they played in Sao Paulo, Brazil, for the NFL's first-ever game in Brazil. In a back-and-forth game, the Eagles came out victorious, by a score of 34-29.
