Former New York Jets lineman Damien Woody called out his former team over Garrett Wilson's comments about his involvement in the Week 16 game against the LA Rams. The Jets lost the 11th game of the season against the NFC West squad with a fourth-quarter meltdown where the Rams scored 13 unanswered points.
After the game, Wilson voiced his discomfort with how he was used. Woody reacted to the wide receiver's comments on X.
"It’s like the Jets want him to ask for a trade man 🤦🏾♂️," Woody tweeted.

Wilson said he'd "love to be involved" and "love to make an impact" on games, but he's not trying to push anybody to do anything.
"I just put my best foot forward and see how it plays out. That's all I can really do," Wilson said. "That's all I can do. I feel like I ran good routes this game. I feel like I had an opportunity to help the team, but sometimes, it just doesn't fall like that."
Wilson was targeted seven times in the game, catching six passes for 54 receiving yards and no touchdowns. He caught the second most passes for the Jets, behind Davante Adams' 13 receptions, but the former Green Bay Packers star was targeted six more times than Wilson and scored one touchdown.
NFL insider suggests Garrett Wilson could request a trade away from Jets
On Tuesday, NFL insider Rich Cimini talked about Garrett Wilson's future with the team.
"I talked to people in Garrett Wilson's circle," Cimini said on his Flight Deck show. "This is speculation on their part. They think he will ask for a trade after the season. Again, speculative by people who know him. We don't know that to be a fact."
The Jets didn't live up to all the preseason hype, and they are likely headed to an NFL offseason full of changes.
