Dan Orlovsky talked about the challenges the new Chicago Bears head coach will face with Caleb Williams. The former Detroit Lions quarterback joined "The Pat McAfee Show" on Tuesday to talk about Williams' traits and the balance coaches must find to unlock his potential.

Orlovsky said that the job will be complex for the coach and player, as they need to be on the same page to develop the former No. 1 overall pick.

"I think the number one thing you have to get him to do is play in structure and realize the benefit of that," Orlovsky said. "You gotta get them to understand the why behind that. ... Why is playing in structure such a big deal, and also making sure that you don't try to take away the special talent that he has, I think that's the biggest challenge.
"The last thing you want to do is steal his magic, and the last thing you want to do is take away the reason why you drafted him number one, because he has uncoachable traits. But the uncoachable traits don't matter, nor do they ever get to show up, unless you are consistent as a quarterback, within timing, within rhythm, because there's four or five plays a game as a coach where the defense wins the rep."

In his rookie season, Williams completed 351 of 562 pass attempts (62.5%) for 3,541 yards, 20 touchdowns and six interceptions. He showed glimpses of his brilliance in the first weeks of the season, but as the campaign went on, his magic "vanished."

The Bears lost 10 consecutive games after starting the season with a 4-2 record. They closed the regular season with a 24-22 win over the Green Bay Packers, ending a tumultuous campaign.

Caleb Williams explains what he wants from the next Bears' HC

The Bears are looking for a new head coach after firing Matt Eberflus mid-season. Caleb Williams opened up about the expectations for the next coach on the St. Brown Podcast on Tuesday. He said he is "selfish" and wants an "offensive-minded guy" to take over.

Williams added that he wants to spend time with the coach for "19, 17, 15 years" while learning as much as possible from the same person. The jury is still out about the Bears' next head coach, as this decision can set them up for success or failure in the future.
