Andy Reid's draft selection of Xavier Worthy has been compared to DeSean Jackson.

Kansas City Chiefs rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy made a big impact in his NFL debut on Thursday night. The Chiefs rookie had two touchdowns in the Week 1 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

On Friday, the morning shows couldn't help but talk about Worthy's impact on the Chiefs offense. On FS1's "The Facility," former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel raved about Worthy's performance and praised Chiefs coach Andy Reid for drafting the former Texas standout.

Daniel made an even bolder statement by comparing Worthy to DeSean Jackson.

"There's five receivers in the history of the game with a rushing touchdown of more than 20 yards and a receiving touchdown of 30-plus yards in a game in the last 20 seasons," Daniel said.

"Four of five of those guys played for head coach Andy Reid," he added. "Andy Reid knows how to use weapons. Andy Reid and Brett Veach did it again. They drafted a DeSean Jackson clone. I talked to some people in the building last night after the game. That's what they're saying about him. He is D Jack 2.0."

While it's only one game, it appears that Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs have found their newest offensive star.

The Chiefs drafted Worthy with the 28th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft after they traded draft picks with the Buffalo Bills to move up from the 32nd pick.

Travis Kelce raved about Xavier Worthy's speed and talent

Just one day before Xavier Worthy made his NFL debut with the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce raved about the rookie on the latest episode of the "New Heights" podcast.

“Some guys have the speed, and some guys are just football players, man,” Kelce said. "He's intelligent. He's picking up on the offense very smooth. He can see things and react. So, his reaction and his awareness is up there. And then on top of that, he has absolute speed that is unworldly."

He continued by saying:

"And that's the biggest thing in this offense, kind of getting used to as a rookie, is being able to see and trust what you're seeing so that you're on the same page as your quarterback, and he's doing a great job with it so far. I'm excited for it, man. He seems like one of those guys that rises up to the occasion when the lights are on. And I'm pumped for him, man.” [1:36]

Worthy's debut was a prime example of what Kelce saw on the practice field.
