Former San Francisco 49ers All-Pro Richard Sherman wanted Justin Herbert to be held accountable for the Los Angeles Chargers loss in the playoffs. The Chargers' journey ended following their loss against the Houston Texans, 32-12.
On Tuesday, Sherman's podcast shared a video on X (formerly Twitter), where the former 49ers player expressed his criticism of Herbert's performance.
"Yes, there were drops by receivers, and there were misses by Justin Herbert. The difference in this is Justin Herbert is getting paid elite money," Sherman said.

Emmanuel Acho takes a jibe at Justin Herbert for his poor game in playoff
Richard Sherman wasn't the only one to criticize Justin Herbert’s performance in the Chargers' playoff match. It was a shocking day for the NFL star, who completed only 14 of his 32 passes for 242 yards. He only had one touchdown against four interceptions.
Fox Sports analyst Emmanuel Acho also shared his disappointment with Herbert's performance on his X account, writing:
"How I’m watching the whole world realize Justin Herbert is a Social Media Quarterback."
In another post, Acho labeled Herbert as "overrated" and "overpraised," writing:
"I was never wrong about Justin Herbert. I was only first. I’ve never said Justin Herbert was bad, he’s not. I’ve only said that he was overrated and over praised. Both of which have never been more obviously true. #SocialMediaQuarterback"
This was Justin Herbert's second playoff appearance. He had previously played in the 2022 playoffs but lost the match against the Jacksonville Jaguars by a narrow margin of 31-30.
In that game, Herbert completed 25 of his 43 pass attempts for 273 yards. He did not have an interception but recorded one touchdown.
