It will be a rematch of Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday afternoon as Kyle Shanahan's San Francisco 49ers host Andy Reid's Kansas City Chiefs. The last time both teams met was on February 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium when the Chiefs defeated the 49ers in overtime.

On Friday morning's episode of FS1's "The Facility", the question arose of whether the 49ers' head coach was under pressure to get a win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones, who was on the Super Bowl XLV winning team, said that all of the pressure is on Shanahan. Jones believes that after all of these years, the San Francisco 49ers head coach should have figured out a way to win against Andy Reid by now.

"All of it, all of it's on Kyle Shanahan. The last couple times, Kyle Shanahan, in my humble opinion, everybody could be different, he's had the better team walking on the football field with the better players. And you never, ever, ever, ever beat Andy Reid.

"You supposed to be the second best coach in football, you've never beat Andy Reid, and you say you are like that as a head coach, when it's going to happen? At one point, you going to have to out coach Andy Reid. At one point we got to walk off the field saying, 'Man, if Shanahan would have did this, they would have won.'"

What is Kyle Shanahan's record vs. Andy Reid?

The San Francisco 49ers are 3-3 after the first six weeks of the season and are looking to get back into a consistent winning rhythm. Facing the 5-0 Kansas City Chiefs will be a tough feat for San Francisco, considering the history between the two teams.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan has a 0-4 record against Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. Those four losses include two regular season games in 2018 and 2022 as well as Super Bowls LIV and LVIII. Jack Christensen is the only other 49ers head coach in the team's history to have more losses against another head coach, he had nine against Don Shula.

NFL fans will certainly be tuning in on Sunday afternoon to catch this matchup and see if the Chiefs remain undefeated or the 49ers finally get their win.
