Ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs versus Houston Texans clash on Saturday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport posted a clip of Patrick Mahomes arriving at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium walking without a limp. This comes just days after the three-time Super Bowl champion reportedly suffered a mild high ankle sprain during the Chiefs' game against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15.

The clip quickly went viral on X and NFL fans weighed in with their opinions.

"SHOCKING. Ankle script back in as usual," a fan wrote.

"Why would he have a limp? He was never injured," another fan said.
"He has a pattern of doing this, get “injured” then miraculously be fine way too soon," a fan commented.

More NFL fans took to the comments section.

"He fakes it for attention. He is fine," one fan wrote.
"He’ll bust out the limp when his team starts losing," another fan commented.
"Is anyone really surprised by this? Man fakes injuries for attention constantly," a fan said.

While it's up for debate whether the Chiefs quarterback's reported injury was real or not, it appears he is fully ready to lead his team against the Texans.

Andy Reid breaks silence about Patrick Mahomes' Week 15 injury

On Thursday, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid confirmed that Patrick Mahomes was a full participant in practices and expected to start in the upcoming home game against the Houston Texans.

"He'll most likely end up playing," Reid said to reporters. "We'll just see how things work out today."

Reid was not surprised about how quickly Mahomes recovered.

"I've been through it with him before and he amazes me every time he does it," Reid said. "He's so mentally tough. It's a mindset he has going into it. Where he was a few days ago, I'd probably say it was a long shot. He's done well with it."

Mahomes has missed just two games since 2019, due to a dislocated kneecap he suffered in a game against the Denver Broncos. Both were planned absences to rest for the playoffs.

The two-time NFL MVP's reliability is what makes him a cornerstone of the Chiefs’ success.
