Falcons superfan Ludacris makes appearance at TNF showdown against Buccaneers

Ludacris loves the Atlanta Falcons. After all, he moved to the city while young and developed his musical style and career there. And he made sure not to miss his adopted hometown team's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday.

The rapper went to Instagram Stories to post a short video of himself inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium (at the time of the filming, star defensive end Grady Jarrett was being introduced):

This is not Luda's first time has made an appearance at a football game this season, however. He was also in attendance during the Falcons' Week 3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Before the start of the game, Ludacris said in the NBC intro:

"Patrick, Travis, Coach Reid. You don't scare me. And Taylor, you know I love you, but it's not too late to jump on our backs. Because we are getting ready to take flight."

Ludacris rappeled while performing during Falcons game

Back in 2023, when the Falcons were hosting the New Orleans Saints in a late November intradivisional matchup, Ludacris had a bold idea of celebrating 50 years of Atlanta hip-hop by rapping his hit single "Move B****" while suspended above the playing field of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, then descending into the ground as he went:

It garnered much excitement and praise, especially coming off Jack Harlow's heavily criticized halftime performance at the Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions game. And it also won him a Webby five months later. During his acceptance speech, he said, per HipHopDX:

“I just received word that I’ve received a Webby Award — the Internet’s highest honor. For rappelling down from the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. I’m blown away, because I wanted to do this shit anyways.”

He continued:

“So thank you to the Falcons. And thank you to everybody involved. Everyone who knows me, knows I’m a thrill-seeker, knows I’m an adrenaline junkie. And I think it’s dope to be honored for something I’d do any-damn-way.”

Three weeks after the ceremony, that moment would be referenced in the team's 2024 schedule release video:

Thursday's game would conclude with Luda's Falcons coming out on top 36-30 in overtime.
