Woody Johnson's New York Jets haven't lived up to the hype after acquiring quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Last season was a loss after Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury in the opening game. This season, the hype bolstered back up only to once again have a losing season that led to both the head coach and general manager being fired.

On Monday, Johnson shared a video on X from Sunday's 32-25 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The video showed a pass from Rodgers to Davante Adams to which the Jets team owner raved about the duo.

"@tae15adams and @AaronRodgers12 put on a show #NYJ"-Woody Johnson wrote on his caption on X

However, Johnson's post didn't sit well with many Jets (4-10) fans. On social media, fans are "spamming" his post with comments, most suggesting that he should sell the team. Just last week, the Jets were ranked ninth most valuable NFL franchise by Forbes as they are worth $6.9 billion.

Calls for Johnson to sell the team flooded the replies of the post and others suggested that it was too late to worry about the performance on the field. One fan reminded Johnson that he once considered benching Aaron Rodgers and now he's excited about his play on the field.

"Get lost and the sell team."-one fan advised the Jets owner
"They did, now sell the team."-another said
"Should we bench him Woody? That’s what you asked for right?? Sell the f****** team you fraud."-one fan asked

One fan suggested Woody Johnson re-sign both Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers and then sell the team to give them a chance at success. Another reminded him that his team still only has four wins and that celebrating one play late in the season isn't necessary.

"Bring them back and then sell the team."-one person on X suggested
"Woody, do you ever read the room? Just once? Big deal…."-one fan asked
"Your team is 4-10 and missed the playoffs again. Sell the team."-one of the many fans on X stated

Woody Johnson will interview former Titans GM to replace Joe Douglas

Within the past two months, the New York Jets parted ways with head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas. Team owner Woody Johnson has now turned to "The 33rd Team" consulting firm to help hire their next general manager.

This week, the Jets are expected to interview former Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson. ESPN analyst Louis Riddick, who spent time in the front offices of the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles, is also expected to be interviewed.

After hiring a general manager, the search for a head coach will begin. The New York Jets haven't made the playoffs in 14 years, the longest drought in the NFL.
